A:  Bahia ~ 5-10 pounds per 1000 sq. ft.
A:  Bermuda ~ 3-5 pounds per 1000 sq. ft.
A:  Cenitpede ~ 2-3 pounds per 1000 sq. ft.
A:  Zoysia ~ 2-3 pounds per 1000 sq. ft.
A:  Seapray ~ 2-3 pounds per 1000 sq. ft.

Q:  When is it safe to mow after seeding?
A:  Mow when the grass has reached a least 4" in height,  Mowing earlier can damage the young seedlings.

Q:  What is the seed rate for a pasture?
A:  20-100 pounds per acre, depending on what type seed you want to plant and how fast you want it to establish a turf.

Q:  What is the better Bahiagrass seed for my yard?
A:   Argentine Bahiagrass...it is not as tough on your mower as Pensacola Bahiagrass.

Q:  What herbicide should I use to kill weeds?
A:  Contact your local fertilizer company for recomendations pertaining to your specific grass variety.

Q:  How often should I water my yard?
A:  Fresh planted seeds should be watered on a daily basis. Watering in the late afternoon or evening will maximise your watering and increase the germination time.

Q: When should I fertilize my yard?
A:  The best results would be to spread your fertilize out when you seed your yard.
A:  Established yard: Fertilize in the Spring generally after the last frost. DO NOT fertilize when your grass is young and tender.

Q:  What type fertilizer should I use on my yard?
A:  16-4-8 is a good one to use...however if not available, the higher the first number the better the fertilizer will be.

Q:  How do I cover the seed once planted?
A:  Use a light drag or rake. Drags are usually homemade with chain link fence and 4x4 posts.
