TransAm Ryegrass is an annual rye grass adaptable to both northern and southern regions, which is considered to have the most advanced transitional qualities. In the north, TransAm does well as a nursegrass and in the south TransAm is considered an elite overseeding grass.
TransAm is highly recommended for overseeding projects such as golf course fairways and roughs, with a good salt tolerance this makes overseeding projects ideal. TransAm is also noted for its durability in overseeding sports fields in both the north and south.
TransAm has a faster germination rate than perennial ryegrasses. TransAm was designed with the ‘transitional’ aspect in mind, as it fades out a little earlier and smoother than other varieties when temperatures warm up in the spring. This makes it an idea choice for the southern states.
