Westlawn WP200 Perennial Ryegrass Seed - Westlawn WP200 Perennial Ryegrass is a multipurpose, low growing fine-leaf turf perennial. It was released through a private breeding program. The intense breeding work from elite clones lead to a selection of parents that made up the genetic material for WP200. WP200 has the qualities that are important to the professional turf manager: dark green color, fine texture, increased endophyte for pest resistance and an above average resistance to disease. WP200 shows better resistance to disease such as summer brown patch and leaf and crown rust than earlier releases, WP200 will germinate and establish quickly (7 days under favorable conditions) with a strong root system. In color WP200 is a true "green" for the permanent turf situations. Genetically it holds that "green" color well through the year. in the transition zone WP200 has shown excellent transition with bermudagrass.
