Shipping Restrictions: Due to state agricultural regulations on soils We can not ship our Grass Plugs to the following states: Arizona, California, Oregon, Nevada & Washington. Due to shipping time constraints we do not ship any plugs outside USA mainland States. (IE: Puerto Rico, Hawaii, Alaska, US Islands) There are no restrictions on seeds shipped to these states.
 

Shipping:  Plug Orders will be shipped on MONDAY for orders placed the previous week.  Please place your order before 11:00 am on Friday to insure your order will be shipped on Monday.
 
Centipede Lawn Plugs - 36 ~ 3x3 Lawn Plugs
Centipede grass is a very popular option in most hot, southern areas (except the northern Florida peninsula); Centipede grass delivers an attractive, dense lawn with a beautiful medium to dark green color. If you prefer looking at your yard more than working in it, Centipede is a wonderful choice for you due to its very low maintenance requirements.  With a slow growth rate, Centipede requires minimal mowing.  In addition, its complex root system means Centipede is relatively drought resistant and is aggressive enough to compete with and overtake weeds.

• needs little fertilizer and likes infertile soils
• grows in full sun & moderate shade (tolerates shade better than Bermudas/less than zoysias)
• resistant to most insects and diseases
• more drought tolerant than Bermudas and less drought tolerant than Zoysia
• grows best in zones 8-9—prone to winter injury above Atlanta, GA.
• Centipede is a creeping grass that grows with above ground runners or stolons
